Quality has its price…

… and when it comes to translations, this depends on various factors. Pricing is usually based on the number of standard lines (55 characters incl. spaces) of the final translation (alternatively, pricing can be based on the number of words or time spent). The price per line depends on the complexity, any research or formatting required, the purpose and the urgency of the respective translation. A cost estimate taking into account all the relevant factors of the translation is, therefore, calculated for each enquiry.

As a general guide, the German Judicial Remuneration and Compensation Act (JVEG) recommends a minimum rate of € 1.55 per standard line and, for example, € 1.85+ per standard line for translations of a particularly complex nature. All prices exclude statutory VAT. A surcharge of 10% applies to certified translations due to the special requirements regarding form and content. Express charges apply to particularly urgent orders and translations to be completed overnight, during weekends and holidays.
